Dr. Mehmet Oz

Dr. Oz was the host of the Emmy award-winning “The Dr. Oz Show” and an Attending Physician at NY Presbyterian-Columbia Medical Center. He serves as Professor Emeritus at Columbia University. Dr. Oz has performed thousands of heart operations and invented life-saving devices to repair heart valves – all while practicing medicine simultaneously while hosting his TV show. He lives in Bryn Athyn, with his wife Lisa of 37 years, in the house they were married in 37 years ago. Together they’ve raised four children, Daphne, Arabella, Zoe, and Oliver and have four grandchildren, Philomena, John, Domenica, and Giovanna.

Today, America’s heartbeat is in a code red in need of a defibrillator to shock it back to life.

Many of us feel like we’re in the adjacent operating room, armed with insights and already scrubbed up but reluctant to leave our quiet, serene setting for the chaos next door. But for me, stepping into the political arena is the right thing to do.

In our time of need, we want to be surrounded by people of action more than armchair intellectuals, because a great surgeon never censors ideas and never shuts off the light that shines on our wounds, which is what happened while our nation battled the pandemic.

Young Kim

As an immigrant to the United States Young Kim has a unique perspective on the American Dream, one that has led her to devote almost her entire adult life to community service.

Kim’s career began as a small business owner and financial analyst. However, representing our area was always a calling that she would one day pursue. Her public service began more than 25 years ago, when Kim began to work for U.S. Representative Ed Royce, eventually becoming his Director of Community Operations.

Continuing to expand her public service, Kim was elected to the 65th District of the California State Assembly in 2014. Despite long odds, Young Kim unseated a fully funded incumbent to become the first ever Korean-American Republican woman elected to serve in the State Assembly.

As Assemblywoman, Kim was a champion for public safety causes. Kim championed a measure for protecting victims of domestic violence with her bill (AB 2078) that passed the Assembly with bipartisan support.

Continuing her community involvement, Young Kim has founded and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for numerous local non-profit organizations.

Young Kim is a community leader, businesswoman and public servant, all while being a mother to four children and wife to her husband Charles.

Dear Supporters:

I recently announced I am running for Fullerton City Council, District 1.

I have been a consumer bankruptcy attorney for 24 years helping businesses and individuals restructure, renegotiate and discharge debts to get a fresh financial start in life. I run a law practice so I know the challenges of running a business. I also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Health from UCLA in 2001. So I have knowledge and expertise to fully understand public health/safety issues due to the coronavirus pandemic that is damaging to our businesses, schools and churches.

I support public safety and vehemently oppose efforts to defund the police. As a business owner, I understand revenue and expense limitations, so the Fullerton city government should have to operate within its means. We need to get burdensome city government regulations out of the way of small businesses, especially as they try to recover from the pandemic.

Fullerton Mayor Jennifer Fitzgerald, who is the retiring incumbent living in Fullerton District 1, has endorsed my candidacy. Fullerton Senator Ling Ling Chang, former Fullerton Mayor & State Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackerman, Fullerton School District President Hilda Sugarman, Fullerton School District Trustee Janny Meyer and former Assemblymember Young Kim have also endorsed me for the Fullerton District 1 Council seat.

I first became a resident of Fullerton in 1979, attending Laguna Road Elementary School. While attending Parks Junior High, I played in the Golden Hill Little League and the Fullerton Patriots Pop Warner football team, and I had a paper route for the old Fullerton News Tribune. My wife and I are raising our three children in Fullerton, and we are very active in the community. I've volunteered for the Braille Institute, YMCA, and coached NJB youth basketball. I worked with Charles and Young Kim decades ago to help establish the Korean Youth Center.

I’m a public servant, mother, and proven tax-fighter who wants to make a difference and help those in need. As a young adult, I came to America with my mother and two younger sisters from South Korea. Like so many before me and many more after me, my family came to America searching for opportunities with the hope for a better future.

I first became interested in public service at an early age when I watched my single working mother struggle to fight an unwarranted tax bill from the California State Board of Equalization. As an immigrant who owned a small business, my mother lacked the resources she needed to appeal the state agency and reluctantly acquiesced to the board’s demands.  After watching my own mother struggle, I knew I needed to help those who couldn’t help themselves and be a strong voice for the voiceless. I knew I needed to serve my community, so I decided to run for public office.

I successfully ran for the California State Board of Equalization, the very agency that showed me how broken our political system is, and I quickly worked to make much needed, common-sense reforms.  I pledged to oppose all new taxes, prevent any tax increases, and presume all taxpayers are innocent until proven guilty when adjudicating tax appeals. I also led the fight to return nearly $400 million back to California taxpayers who were victims of a tax system that had failed us.

At the California State Board of Equalization, I became the country’s highest ranking Korean American officeholder and California’s highest-ranking Republican woman, which gave me a unique platform to give back to my country by empowering the next generation of women and minority leaders in our community.

I currently serve as the Chairwoman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors where I work tirelessly on behalf of all Orange County families fighting higher taxes, reducing traffic congestion in our communities, and ensuring our bays and coastlines are clean.

I’m running for Congress because Orange County needs a strong voice in Washington, D.C. who will honor promises made and stand up for us and our values.

My Texas roots run deep. Being a 7th generation Texan, I’ve come to know what hard working, Texas conservatism looks like. My father served as artilleryman, stationed in South Korea, in the U.S. Army, and I followed his footsteps. I enlisted in the Army National Guard and was attached to a mechanized infantry unit in the 36th infantry division.

In 2004, I met my wonderful wife, Fanny, while in Hawaii. After getting married, I introduced her to the great state of Texas, and we settled in Richmond to start a family. Fanny and I have two young boys, Jacob and Calob, who attend schools in Fort Bend ISD. We’re raising them to have faith in God, and respect for our country. It’s my family that motivated me to activism, working to make Texas better.

Almost a decade ago, I started working for conservatives like Pro-Life champion Glenn Hegar, our Texas Comptroller, and working on bills as a director in the 83rd Texas Legislature. Even back then we started seeing a shift in the political landscape. Republicans were facing issues with reaching and connecting with voters, so I left the Comptroller Agency to work for the Republican Party of Texas. My directive was to target and engage voters in order to grow our party where others have failed.

In 2017, I took over the reigns as Chairman of the Fort Bend Republican Party. As Chairman, my mission was to streamline the party, strengthen our financials, and re-organize our party to talk to all new conservatives moving to Fort Bend. By the end of 2018, the Fort Bend GOP was back in the green, having paid off its debts, and having raised more money than ever before. This allowed us to turnout an additional 36,000 new Republicans; more Republicans than any preceding midterm ever. Our efforts were even recognized nationally.

Entrepreneurialism isn’t something new for the Jetton family. My great-grandfather was the Texas “King of Barbeque,” Walter Jetton, who started Jetton’s Barbeque in Fort Worth, Texas and catered for United States’ presidents. My grandfather, Ray Jetton, started one of the first ecommerce websites at the start of the internet. My parents, Kyong and Chris Jetton, owned and operated a jewelry manufacturing and retail business in Arlington, Texas.

Following in their footsteps, I have been a part of building two businesses, Bedrock Association Management, LLC and Jetton & Gojara, LLC. I lead in the operations of both companies, and continue to serve Fort Bend while volunteering with various organizations that targets single moms, poverty, and veteran issues.

Texas means a lot to me, as does our community in Fort Bend. We all work so hard, so our children can have a bright future. For the first time in history, the generations of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s will make up the majority vote in 2020. If we don’t talk to our neighbors, reach out and advocate our conservative values, we will lose House District 26 in 2020. It’s time to make a switch.

Will you join me?

Pearl Kim

Before she retired to focus on running for office full time, Pearl Kim was a Special Victims Prosecutor and head of the Human Trafficking Unit in the Delaware County District Attorney’s

office. She secured the first human trafficking conviction in the state of Pennsylvania by working across the aisle to rewrite legislation. She worked on the investigation on a series of home invasions in Pennsylvania targeting Asian American small business owners. She was appointed by both Democratic and Republican Governors to the Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs. While working as a Senior Deputy Attorney General, she battled cancer and decided to run for Congress to effectuate even greater change, because, according to her “life is short”. If elected she would be the first Asian American woman elected to Congress for Pennsylvania as well as the first Korean American Congresswoman in the history of the United States. She was chosen as the one Republican candidate across the nation to speak at the New York Times New Rules Summit, with the likes of Melinda Gates, Katie Couric and America Ferrera. She also appeared on the Van Jones Show on CNN. She is unbossed and unbought, with a history of bipartisan cooperation and a fresh perspective that is sorely needed in Washington.
